Your goal is a manageable routine.

The first week is a time to verify the fit, learn the care instructions and notice what needs adjustment. Use this checklist alongside your supplier and stylist's instructions. It is not a universal seven-day adhesive schedule.

Before installation: inspect and document

  • Keep the packaging, order details and model name.
  • Check color, gray blend, density, base dimensions and visible damage before alteration.
  • Compare the delivered unit with your sides and back in daylight.
  • Photograph anything that does not match the order and contact the seller before cutting, washing, coloring or wearing it.
  • Confirm what services affect return eligibility.

Use the color and gray guide and density guide if the blend is uncertain.

At the appointment: leave with a written plan

Ask your stylist to record the unit's color code, size and density, plus the names of the attachment, remover and care products used. Agree on the haircut and hairline placement before the cut-in.

  1. Ask for the exact cure and water-exposure instructions.
  2. Confirm whether this is daily removal or continuous wear.
  3. Watch a demonstration of safe release and handling.
  4. Arrange the first maintenance appointment or supervised home session.
  5. Save a contact for questions or an early adjustment.

After attachment: follow the actual cure instructions

Do not schedule your first workout, swim or wash from a general social-media tip. Ask the installer when your chosen adhesive can handle those activities and whether any preparation product changes that instruction. Avoid repeatedly lifting an edge to see whether it is holding.

During the week: make a brief daily note

CheckRecord or ask
BlendDoes the color and haircut work in ordinary daylight?
AttachmentIs an edge lifting, collecting residue or difficult to keep clean?
ComfortIs anything rubbing or persistently uncomfortable?
RoutineHow long do styling and checks actually take?
QuestionsWhat should the stylist demonstrate again?

A short note gives your stylist specific observations instead of a vague “it feels different.” You do not need to buy a new product for every unfamiliar sensation or change in appearance.

Washing and styling: keep the plan simple

Use the care method specified for your hair, base and any synthetic gray fibers. Lordhair's washing guidance emphasizes gentle detangling and careful drying; washing frequency depends on use and the condition of the unit. Do not treat a first-week calendar as a reason to wash every day.

Before using a new conditioner, styling product or heat tool, confirm where it can be applied and whether it is compatible with the complete unit. If you are unsure about cleaning close to the base or bond, ask for a demonstration.

First removal: arrange help before you need it

Do not make an urgent first attempt with no compatible remover or instructions. Prepare a clear workspace, the recommended release products and an appropriate place for the unit. Allow time for release rather than pulling against a bond.

Use our removal guide as supporting information. If removal is outside your comfort level, contact your stylist. Do not keep a system attached through persistent burning, redness or worsening discomfort; seek appropriate professional advice.

At the end of the week: review, do not rush

  • Check whether the removal schedule fits your actual week.
  • Keep the specifications you want to reorder.
  • Write down any adjustment agreed with the stylist.
  • Confirm when the next cleaning or refit is due for your setup.

Need to rethink the routine? Compare daily removal and continuous wear. Avoid changing several products at once without knowing what problem you are trying to solve.
